Rock out and give back when you tune in to their online shows!

Being alone has its perks: the comfortable silence, the hyperawareness (or lack thereof) of your surroundings and the invitation just to be (by) yourself. There’s nothing more refreshing than taking long walks to enjoy the wind blowing against your face. Pulling up to gigs on your own to watch your favorite band from the bar offers a unique kind of fun and comfort. Meanwhile, solo dance parties give a sense of release that we keep close to our hearts. But when we have no choice but to be alone for days on end because of lockdowns, quarantines and busy schedules, it’s easy to lose sight of the peace it once brought to us.

But Philippine-based music collective Elev8 Me L8r is here to remind us of the magic of solitude—magic we can still find even if we’re just sitting within the four corners of our bedrooms.

Looking for Saturday night plans without much pressure to socialize? Tune in to their online show CRY, PARKING LOT SUPERSTAR! The livestream starts on October 30 at 8PM and is free to watch on their Facebook page. At the helm of this episode is the four-piece band and Elev8 Me L8r member Bowling Night, bringing us along as they revel in the charm of loneliness. For a night of great music, nostalgia and solo bedroom dance sessions, CRY, PARKING LOT SUPERSTAR! is one great way to spend your night.

This Saturday, Lainey Gonzales, The Buildings, Cowboy Country Club and more ACTS are joining Bowling Night for the show. Check out the full setlist below for more reasons to catch CRY, PARKING LOT SUPERSTAR!

Elev8 Me L8r is a Philippine-based music collective that showcases acts from the local and international underground scenes. Through their online show—that’s almost four episodes in and counting—they help these artists expand their reach. But that’s not all! The non-profit collective also uses their platform to raise funds for their partner beneficiary, Tulong Kabataan. It’s a network with a mission to bring aid to disaster-stricken communities around the Philippines. So, at least we get to tune in and rock out to great music while giving back to the community.

Entrance to CRY, PARKING LOT SUPERSTAR! is free. Keep tabs on Elev8 Me L8r’s artists and their future shows by following them on Soundcloud, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
